How It Works:
With sponsorship, our experienced trainers will travel to your area to deliver this comprehensive, Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)-specific training, bringing essential advocacy tools directly to the families and professionals who need them most.
What’s Included in the 8-Hour Training:
- Introduction to Special Education and the ABC’s of FAPE and LRE
- Special considerations for students who are DHH
- Eligibility for services (Birth to Three & Transition to Preschool)
- Procedural Safeguards
- Assessment and Evaluation
- IEPs and 504 plans
- Tools, strategies for meeting planning
- Deaf Plus/Deaf Disabled considerations

- Name of nearest airport and city where training will be held.
- Hyperlinks to two - three local hotels for trainer accommodations.
- Details of any in-kind support you can provide to help us estimate costs (e.g., access to accessibility services such as ASL and Spanish interpreters, availability and size of meeting space, meals etc). If offering an in-kind meeting space, please ensure it includes a speaker, microphone, projector, screens, and that food is permitted.
