Scarlett’s Park Conference

The Scarlett’s Park Conference wants to warmly invite you for the 8th Annual Scarlett’s Park Conference, taking place virtually on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
This year’s conference, “Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV) and the Developing Deaf & Hard of Hearing Child,” will explore one of the leading causes of non-genetic hearing loss in children worldwide. Although congenital CMV affects thousands of children and families each year, awareness and understanding of its long-term impact remain limited across educational, medical, and community settings.
Throughout the day, presenters and panelists will share perspectives on screening, early identification, educational implications, developmental outcomes, advocacy, and lived experience. Together, we will examine how interdisciplinary collaboration and Deaf-informed, family-centered practices can strengthen support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children impacted by cCMV.
The conference will be held virtually from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
Registration is free; limited to the first 1000 participants
0.7 RID CEUs in Professional Studies will be offered
BEI and Silent Garden CEUs will also be available
ASL interpreting and captioning will be provided
Partial CEUs will not be awarded
We hope you will join us for another meaningful day of learning, reflection, and community as we continue cultivating knowledge, advocacy, and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and their families.
